Cisco Routers and Switches

Broadband Data, Security, and Wireless for Small Offices
Building on Cisco's integrated services router portfolio, the new Cisco 800 Series routers extend concurrent data, security, and wireless to enterprise branch offices, teleworkers, and small businesses to help increase productivity and streamline operations.

Powered by Cisco IOS Software, the Cisco 2800 Series supports the Cisco Self-Defending Network with advanced security services and management capabilities such as hardware encryption acceleration, IPSec VPN (AES, 3DES, DES), firewall protection, in-line intrusion prevention system (IPS), Network Admission Control (NAC), and URL filtering support. The intuitive, Web-based Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) is preinstalled on all Cisco 2800 Series products to help simplify management and configuration.
Designed for faster return on investment, the Cisco 2800 Series supports Layer 2 switching with Power over Ethernet (PoE), high-density serial connectivity, enhanced network analysis and traffic management tools, plus enhanced content caching to help increase functionality, dramatically speed application deployment, and reduce operating costs and complexity.

Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series switches are designed for enterprise LAN access, branch offices, Layer 3 distribution points, small and medium-sized businesses, and metropolitan (metro) Ethernet deployments. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series comprises a series of chassis ranging from 3 to 10 slots and a set of supervisor engines delivering up to 136 Gbps of Layer 2-4 switching. The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series supports an extensive set of line cards, including high-density 10/100, 10/100/1000 (both with 802.3af Power over Ethernet [PoE] options), 100BASE-FX, 100BASE-LX10, 100BASE-BX-D, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
